Foster holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Oregon. He hails from the Wallowa Mountains of Eastern Oregon. He has over ten years of experience troubleshooting and solving computer problems as well as prior experience working in IT. His background also includes professional raft guiding, blacksmithing, and glassblowing. Foster is writing a novel and learning piano in his spare time.
